March On

When darkness shrouds your palace
And you await the sign
Hang in there my friend
A ray of light will shine

Preachers preach, doers do
Look within, not what surrounds you
You are like the water, gentle yet fierce
A tide will rise soon

March on, the day will come
You have many miles to go
Drop all thoughts from your sight
Except the one that’s your goal

Nothing was ever built to last
Just like yesterday, today shall pass
And when you arise from your slumber
Your darkness would’ve passed

March on, the day will come
You have many miles to go
Someday you will return to these moments
Together they will loudly echo

Another day, another start
Another wish to fulfill at last
Do not fear your present or past
March on, it won’t last

March on my friend, the day will come
Your wishes and dreams shall be one
And when you ride that tide in the sun
Peace and wisdom will be one
